In this mountain resort, visitors can enjoy visiting various spring water drinking fountains.
You can enjoy the slightly different flavors.
Seven Minute Spring
A 15-minute drive west of downtown Colorado Springs.
Manitou Springs, located in a narrow valley at the foot of Pikes Peak, looked like a typical resort town crowded with tourists.
Manitou Springs, Colorado
However, the drinking fountains scattered throughout the town set Manitou Springs apart from other tourist destinations.
There is a spa called SunWater Spa that utilizes mineral springs too, but I did not visit it this time.

Seven Minute Spring was located a little further away from the other drinking fountains in Manitou Springs, at the lowest elevation.

It was originally named after the fact that it erupted every seven minutes.
It was a drinking fountain next to a gazebo in a beautifully maintained park.
Shoshone Spring

Shoshone Spring was located along Manitou Avenue, the main street, and was covered by a symbolic cylindrical building.

A red brick structure built in the 1890s.
Shoshone Spring, which has the highest sulfur content in Manitou Springs, was unfortunately not in operation.

Cheyenne Spring
Cheyenne Spring was also located along the Manitou Avenue.

The water flowing from the bronze drinking fountain was easy to drink and had a mellow taste.
Navajo Spring

Navajo Spring was located adjacent to the Cheyenne Spring.

It would be difficult to find.
It was embedded in the wall of an ice cream shop and was not in operation.

Wheeler Spring
Wheeler Spring was located near the post office on a side street.

This is the spring that Jerome Wheeler, who established the first bank in town and started a bottled mineral water company, dug in 1920 near his home.

Stratton Spring
Stratton Spring is located at the circular intersection where Manitou Avenue and Luckton Avenue intersect.

It burst out forcefully from under the sculpture along with bubbles.

Twin Spring
The remaining two fountains are located along Loxston Avenue.
Twin Spring was a strangely long and narrow drinking fountain in front of a bicycle shop.

It is said to be used as an ingredient in lemonade because of its strong sweetness.
Indeed, people were constantly visiting.
Iron Spring

Iron Spring was located in the mountains at the highest elevation.

The area under the gazebo was the geyser, and I was able to observe intermittent eruptions.

The water had a strong metallic odor and was very carbonated, making it unpleasant to drink.
It was natural to think that it had some kind of medicinal effect.
