Himalayan Salt Room
Azure Palm Hot Springs is located in a particularly scenic spot among the many spa hotels in Desert Hot Springs.
HThe area on top of this hill, where Hacienda Avenue and Two Bunch Trail pass through, is known for its hot springs with high water temp.
All 40 rooms.
It has a limited number of guest rooms considering its size.
In addition, this facility reopened in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Its predecessor, CJ Grand Hotel & Spa, belonged to the Quality Inn group, which offered relatively reasonable room rates.
In 2021, the owner of nearby The Springs Resort & Spa purchased the facility and renovated it thoroughly.
It has been reborn as an adults-only hotel with no admission for those under 17 years of age.
The spa area, available to day spa guests and hotel guests, was located one floor below the entrance facing Hacienda Avenue.
Outside, there are two spa pools covered by gazebos next to a large pool.
It was under construction when I visited, but now an outdoor tub called Oasis Tub has been added.
There were two more spa pools inside, complete with Jacuzzis.
There was also a sauna in the indoor spa area.
Although all pools use geothermal water, there was a slight smell of chemicals, which were used in minimal amounts.
The highlight of the renovation was the newly built Himalayan Salt Room.
Available at no additional charge for overnight guests.
The Desert Ice Room has also been newly established for cooling down.

Spa Suites Is the Only Choice
Not all rooms have hot spring water, so please book rooms labeled “Spa Suites” or similar.
The tub was located by the window.
It was made of sturdy concrete and was large enough for two people to sit comfortably.
Water temp at water outlet was 108 degrees F.
The water temp at the source is said to be 174 degrees F.
There is no chemical odor, and you will feel refreshed after soaking.
It is gratifying that there are now more hotels with excellent water, such as the Spa Suites at Azure Palm in Dessert Hot Springs.
